Answer to Question 1

Cupronickel

Answer to Question 2

POE is made by combining alcohol and acid to form polyol ester and water. Adding water and heat can reverse the process, forming alcohol and acid inside the system. This is known as hydrolysis. Filter driers prevent hydrolysis by removing water from the system.
