Answer to Question 1

A suction-to-liquid line heat exchanger can be added to a system to improve its efficiency and help to prevent liquid from returning to the compressor.

Answer to Question 2

Liquid receivers are located on the high side after the condenser and let only liquid leave. Accumulators are located on the low side after the evaporator and let only vapor leave.
