Zeotropes must leave the cylinder as a liquid; azeotropes may leave the cylinder as either a liquid or a vapor.

Oxidation, freeze up, and acid formation. Water will break down halogenated refrigerants in the presence of extreme heat to form hydrochloric and hydrofluoric acids.
