Answer to Question 1

Disposable refrigerant cylinders are lighter weight than refillable cylinders and may not be refilled by anyone. Refillable refrigerant cylinders are heavier and may be refilled by the refrigerant manufacturer or their agent.

Answer to Question 2

The operation of the heat pump and the furnace is controlled by either a separate dual fuel add on control board or a thermostat designed for a dual fuel system.
