Mechanical air filters work by passing the air and contaminants through a media. The contaminants get stuck in the fibers and the air passes through.

Answer to Question 2

Technicians are called to work on the entire system, not an isolated part of it. Service technicians must understand the inter-relationship between different system components and be aware of the effect one process has on the rest of the system.
