Why should a cleanup filter drier always be used after performing a system flush?

What would the mixed air temperature be for a system with 20 outdoor air if the outdoor temperature is 10F and the return air temperature is 75F?

Answer to Question 1

Some of the particles loosened by the flushing procedure are not removed from the system. Filter driers should be added to remove the remaining contaminants.

Answer to Question 2

0.2 x 10F =2F 0.8 x 75F = 60F 2F + 60F = 62F mixed air temperature.
