Answer to Question 1

CO2 systems operate at considerably higher pressures. At room temperature the pressure of CO2 is approximately 913 psi. Just a small increase in temperature results in a significant rise in pressure. Systems need to be kept below 88F at all times in the event of a power outage. Systems must be designed to vent the CO2 directly outside to prevent personal injury in occupied spaces.

The dimples are to allow for expansion on freezing.
