A diode is a semiconductor that acts similar to a check valve, allowing for one way flow through an electrical circuit.

Answer to Question 2

Potassium Formate is compatible with many piping materials such as aluminum, brass, bronze, stainless steel, cast iron, and copper when it is not exposed to oxygen.
