Answer to Question 1

First add the exposed lengths 10 + 15 = 25 feet exposed

Next, multiply the exposed length times the HTM 25 x 40 = 1000 Btuh Note: this HTM is based on linear feet of exposure, NOT square feet of area

Answer to Question 2

Safety relief valves may be set to relieve back to the low side of the system or through escape piping safely to atmosphere. They will re-seat when the pressure returns to a safe level. Rupture disks are one-time failure devices

that release the refrigerant upon excessive pressure. Fusible plugs melt at a set temperature and will release the refrigerant as a one-time failure device.

People who have myopia, or nearsightedness, are not able to see objects at a distance but only up close. It occurs when the cornea is either curved too steeply, the eye is too long, or both. This condition is progressive and worsens with time. More than 100 million people in the United States are nearsighted, but only 20% of those are born with the condition. Diet, eye exercise, drug therapy, and corrective lenses can all help manage nearsightedness.
