Answer to Question 1

Extending the surface area helps reduce the pressure drop across the filter, allowing the use of denser media for increased efficiency. Extended surface area filters also have a large dust holding capacity, extending their useful life.

A fuse, a standard circuit breaker, and an HACR circuit breaker.
