Discuss how it is possible to have a control transformer whose primary winding can be connected to 240 or 208 V and provide 120 V at its secondary.

A control transformer can be wound for a 2:1 ratio that allows 220 V to be dropped to 110 V, or it can be wound for 1.89:1 so that 208 V can be dropped to 110 V.
