Question 2

Due to several illnesses among its work force, a contractor was short several workers for concrete placing and requested the assistance of the resident project representative. To what extent may the resident project representative be permitted to help?
 
  A. As long as he or she provides only supervisory assistance; no physical labor, and is not compensated.
   B. He or she may give minor assistance including labor, if it does not interfere with his or her other duties.
   C. He or she cannot assist during normal working hours. However, if the concrete placing is after hours and he or she is on his or her own time, he or she may help if he or she is not paid.
   D. He or she may assist by calling the union hiring hall for additional help.
   E. None of these are true.

Payment bonds are used on government contracts in place of mechanic's liens and they are used to pay subcontractors and suppliers if contractors do not pay them for their services or supplies.
