Answer to Question 1

B

Answer to Question 2

Critical Path Method schedules are used to justify claims by contractors when an owner hinders or impedes the performance of a contractor rather than completely delaying or suspending his or her efforts. However, when several separate hindrances delay overall project completion Critical Path Method Schedule analysis could be utilized to demonstrate that these have occurred on a project. In order to establish that an entire project was delayed by partial delays it needs to be shown that there was (Wickwire, Hurlbut, and Lerman 1989):

a) Evidence that the original duration and person loading estimates were accurate.
b) Evidence that the partial delay impacted the critical path.
c) Evidence that the resources that were present on the project were capable of
completing the work in accordance with the original schedule.
