Engineers and constructors are responsible for implementing laws because they are responsible for the safety and welfare of citizens according to their engineering professional society codes of ethics. They implement laws through the safe design of structures, complete and accurate contract documents, and the use of proper materials and processes.

Answer to Question 2

It is important for all types of individuals to understand the basics of contract law because many of the activities that people engage in require contracts such as communication technology, utilities, rental agreements, home mortgages, life insurance policies, and medical insurance policies.
