Retained earnings are company profits that are not distributed to company owners, but instead are retained by the company to increase its capitalization or equity.

Answer to Question 2

The first step in developing a cash flow analysis for a company is to estimate the monthly income and expense for each project. This information is entered into a spread sheet to estimate the company cash flow status for each month.
