Risk analysis is an analytical methodology normally associated with insurance and investments. However, risk analysis can be used to analyze the workplace, identify hazards, and develop strategies for overcoming these hazards. The risk analysis process focuses on two key questions:
(i) How frequently does a given event occur?
(ii) How severe are the consequences of a given event?
