Hennigan et al. (1982) looked at the crime rate in cities that were just getting television stations in the 1950s.

Because of federal law, one group of cities was allowed to develop television broadcasting about 5 years before other cities were.   c. replicated interrupted time series design
  d. nonequivalent control group design.

  a. mixes a quasi-experimental variable and a true experimental variable.

  c. has the advantages of the interrupted time series design without the disadvantage of the replicated interrupted time series design.
