Answer to Question 1

To achieve four days of autonomy, three more banks of four series batteries are added to the system, for a total of 24 batteries.

Answer to Question 2

The sun makes one trip around the ecliptic in 365.25 d. Therefore each day it travels 0.986 degrees.
