If you see a stepper motor with eight leads, what is the likely wiring configuration?

Answer to Question 1

It is likely to be a parallel-wound bifilar stepper motor.

Answer to Question 2

As a dc motor speeds up, a back emf is generated that opposes the applied voltage, thus reducing the torque.
