Traces of methane absorb red light and thus make the atmosphere look green-blue.

Jupiter's rings are dark and reddish, and mostly microscopic, made up of rocky material. Saturn's rings are made up of billions of ice particles. Uranus's rings are dark and contain little dust. Neptune's rings are similar to those of Uranus but contain more small dust particles.
