There are numerous craters still visible today, such as the Barringer Crater in Arizona and the Manicouagan reservoir in Canada. Both clearly display the traits of a large impact, including a central peak in the case of the Canadian crater. There is also evidence of a large impact in the Yucatan that may have caused the extinction of the dinosaurs.
