Answer to Question 1

TRUE

Answer to Question 2

Nebulae that scatter light are bluer than the stars that illuminate them, and, similarly, Earth's atmosphere is bluer than the Sun that illuminates it for the same physical reason: blue light scatters more easily than red light. The red light passes more directly through the nebula or the atmosphere, while the blue light scatters and gives the nebula and the atmosphere their bluer colors. Therefore, it's no coincidence.
