Will the Sun ever turn into a brown dwarf? Why or why not?

Answer to Question 1

No, it is massive enough to ignite hydrogen fusion and reach the main sequence, which brown dwarfs cannot. Only objects of less than 8 of the Sun's mass are brown dwarfs.
