What type of galaxy are the two Magellanic Clouds? How do we know this visually?

The terrestrial planet cores contain mostly metal because

Answer to Question 1

Both are irregular galaxies, without the structure of either spirals or ellipticals, but with much visible gas and dust and new star formation typical of spiral arms.
