Answer to Question 1

Density is mass per unit volume; all terrestrials have been heated by the Sun enough to drive away lighter gases, so they are rocky worlds with densities between 3-6 g/cc, while all jovians formed far enough out to be made of lighter hydrogen and helium, and have densities much less than any of the inner worlds.

Answer to Question 2

D
