Answer to Question 1

It is the only moon with one hemisphere not tidally fixed toward its planet; the rotation of Hyperion is called chaotic, as it turns toward whichever other moon it is passing at the time. It is probably a recent capture, and has not had time to settle down into synchronous rotation yet.
