Hardly. There are many issues that impact the environment. The locality is much
changed; species do change. Also, acidic runoff is common, streams are affected by both
this and the runoff they contain. Moving soil often brings up materials that have weathered
on the surface, and the materials brought to the surface can be poisonous to plants, wildlife,
and people.

effects such as the boom town syndrome.
