Some crops are more efficient at utilizing their environments to produce grain growth than others.

If the number of disease-causing bacteria can grow exponentially in the body, why don't all people succumb to them at an early age?

Answer to Question 1

This is the case. We have mentioned that C
3 and C4 plants respond differently to
water and carbon dioxide. It is clear that various plants evolved in different locations by
learning how to respond to local environmental conditions. Now plants are grown in
environments to which they are not adapted, and those differences do affect growth of the
plant.

Answer to Question 2

The body contains cells expressly designed to thwart invasions. When a
bacterium enters and begins to grow, it encounters some of these T-cells (the T stands for
thymus). The T-cells become primed to deal with the invaders and proliferate, also
exponentially. The body mounts a swift and growing defense until the invasion is beat back.
So the response to exponential growth of invaders is exponential growth of invasion
fighters.
