HDTV is now being introduced in the U.S. It is likely that sales of HDTVs will follow an exponential growth curve during the earliest years of sales.

Answer to Question 1

Yes, there are very few sets, so the growth takes off in an apparent exponential
fashion. Eventually, of course, there will come a time when the number saturates.

Europe has far less open space than the United States.
