Would switching your home from incandescent to compact fluorescent bulbs be a measure you would take? Why or why not? Explain your answer.

Question 2

A force F is exerted on an object of mass m. A force twice as large (2F) will cause a mass 2m to change its velocity by a certain amount. Explain the relation between the change in velocity due to force F and that due to force 2F.

We hope that they will make such a change. To be sure, the initial investment is
high, and some families might be too poor to afford the cost, even though they would

Answer to Question 2

If the force exerted on the mass is twice as large and the mass is also twice as
large, the acceleration (the rate of change in velocity) is the same in both cases.
