Answer to Question 1

In order to keep the pellet containing the fuel at the focal point of the lasers, each
of the beams pushing the pellet in one direction is balanced by a laser beam pointing in the
other, As a result, no momentum is transferred to the pellet, while a considerable amount of
energy is (o much that the interior temperature exceeds that needed to initiate fusion.
Because the beams come in pairs, there must be an even number of them.

Answer to Question 2

This is correct; prefabricated buildings and plumbing makes things cheaper by
allowing much of the construction to take place in the factory instead of at the construction
site.
