A capacitor and a resistor are connected in series across an AC generator as shown in Figure OQ33.3. After the switch is closed, which of the following statements is true?
 
  1.The voltage across the capacitor lags the current by 90.
  2.The voltage across the resistor is out of phase with the current.
  3.The voltage across the capacitor leads the current by 90.

Biotite and muscovite are both members of the family of minerals known as micas.
Biotite is a dark-colored mica, brown, black, or sometimes green, containing iron and
magnesium. Muscovite is a light, almost colorless mica containing potassium and
aluminum. Mica has perfect cleavage in one direction.
