A particle with charge q is located inside a cubical gaussian surface. No other charges are nearby. If the particle can be moved to any point within the cube, what maximum value can the flux through one face approach?

(a) Measure the elongation caused by hanging various masses from the spring,
and use Hooke's law to calculate k.
(b) Measure the period of oscillation for a vibrating mass hung on the spring,
and find k from the equation for the period of a simple harmonic oscillator.
