What happens when a charged insulator is placed near an uncharged metallic object?
  1.They repel each other.
  2.They attract each other.
  3.They may attract or repel each other, depending on whether the charge on the insulator is positive or negative.
  4.They exert no electrostatic force on each other.
  5.The charged insulator always spontaneously discharges.

Question 2

Using Equation 3.1, calculate the period of your pendulum for a length of 160 cm or for the maximum length you used. How does this compare with your experimental value? Calculate the percent error. Use the calculated value of the period as the standard value.

will depend on how carefully you did your work and the percent error will show that.
