Two identical springs are attached to two identical masses. Both are resting on a frictionless horizontal surface. One of the springs is displaced a distance d from its equilibrium position, while the other is displaced a distance 2d.
   
 
   
 
   
 
   If both masses are released at the same instant,
   which of the springs, A or B, returns to its
   unstretched length first?


  1.Spring A.
  2.Spring B.
  3.It's a tie.
  4.Not enough information.

Question 2

One mole of o gas is confined to volume V/2 by a thin membrane with another mole of o gas on the other side. Both gases are at the same temperature.
