Answer to Question 1

Answer: Chemical weathering, hydraulic action, and abrasion.

Answer to Question 2

Answer: The deposition of sediment in a delta environment is due to a stream's inability to transport sediment indefinitely. The settling of grain particles is directly related to inertia. Larger grains have more mass and more inertia; thus larger grains are the first to settle out. Smaller grains have less mass and less inertia and are the last to settle out.
