Answer to Question 1

Answer: B

Answer to Question 2

Answer: A seismogram reveals Earth's internal structure just like an X-ray reveals the interior of a body. Seismic waves traveling from an earthquake encounter various boundaries that change the movement of the wave. Each bend or change in speed reveals a change in the material through which the seismic wave travels.
