Megreya and Burton (2008) investigated people's ability to distinguish and remember faces. They had participants watch as target individuals walked to the front of a room and stood there for 30 seconds.
 
  After each
   target was presented, a 10-photo array was presented, from which participants were asked to choose who they
   had just seen. Subjects' performance in this task was:
