A number of factors not so common a generation or two ago pull apart the connections that neighborhood residents have to each other and to the neighborhood as a place. Among them is
 
  A. The declining number of women in the workplace.
  B. The mobility of the American population.
  C. Decreased disposable income.
  D. Americans' strong sense of dissatisfaction with their neighborhoods.
