What do Gestalt therapists mean when they refer to a safe emergency?
 
  a. A combination of aroused anxiety and the therapists affirmation and support, creating an atmosphere where creative adjustment to the natural self is possible.
  b. Purposefully provoking anxiety in the client and withholding support so that the client can gain awareness of his or her own weaknesses.
  c. Encouraging the client to experiment with different behaviorssometimes exaggerated negative ones and sometimes positive ones.
  d. A situation where the client is in an emergency but doesnt realize it because he or she has repressed his or her feelings.
