Answer:
Friends usually have some stake or personal advantage or disadvantage in what you think, feel, and do. In addition, friends generally expect the relationship to be reciprocal, whereas in therapy the focus is entirely on the client.

Answer to Question 2

Answer:
1. The externalization and modification of maladaptive representations of self, others, and interactions with others.
2. The clients gradual internalization of the benign acceptance felt in the therapeutic relationship.
