Answer to Question 1

Answers:
 Goes over material that came up in the initial stage.
 Helps the client work through new material that is discovered.

Answer to Question 2

Answers:
 Talks about his or her entire life, including childhood, to provide material for the psychotherapeutic process.
 Resists some of the counselors interpretations.
 Gains insights as a result of other interpretations.
