Answer to Question 1

When cutting off a member, the leader's hands may be used to serve as a physical signal to the speaking member that the focus is about to be shifted. The leader can use his or her eyes to look around at other members of the group and not at the member speaking. When drawing out, the leader may use his or her eyes to briefly hold eye contact with a member to encourage the member to speak, then shift gaze away so as not to apply pressure. Too, when drawing a member out, it is important to use a tone of voice that is not condescending so members will feel more comfortable to speak.

Your skin wrinkles if you stay in the bathtub a long time because the outermost layer of skin (which consists of dead keratin) swells when it absorbs water. It is tightly attached to the skin below it, so it compensates for the increased area by wrinkling. This happens to the hands and feet because they have the thickest layer of dead keratin cells.
