Answer to Question 1

Individuals who are not ready to be in a group may be inappropriate for group counseling. They may be disruptive to the group because they are forced to attend. In addition, group work may not be beneficial and may actually be harmful to them if they feel pressured to share and participate at a level with which they are not comfortable.
