1 . In the career domain, examples of client problems include decision-making, poor basic skills, lack of career identity, poor problem-solving skills, low self-esteem, work-related stress, and lack of self and occupational knowledge.
2 . Emotionally driven problems are noted in the affective domain. Examples include mood disorders, impulsivity, and feelings of inferiority and helplessness.
3 . Faulty cognitions that can lead to inappropriate behavior that can affect all life roles are the focus of the cognitive-behavioral domain. Examples of behavior include self-destructive behavior, cognitive distortions, dysfunctional thinking, and poor information-processing skills.
4 . In the cultural domain, the counselors focus on level of cultural identity and worldview.
Examples of problems are difficulty assimilating a new lifestyle, lack of the use of the English language, and effects of discrimination and oppression.
