  a. 8, 12, 27, 27, 34, 38, 39, 41, 41, 41, 50, 53, 53, 54, 55, 55, 58, 62, 67, 70, 72, 80, 95, 250, 300

   b. 56, 60, 64, 66, 68, 69, 72, 73, 74, 75, 78, 78, 79, 80, 82, 82, 83, 83, 84, 85, 85, 85, 85, 87, 87, 87, 90, 91, 92, 94, 95, 96, 97, 98, 98, 100

   c. 20, 22, 29, 30, 34, 38, 40, 43, 44, 45, 45, 50, 51, 53, 55, 58, 60, 63, 63, 66, 68, 70, 74, 75, 77, 80, 85, 90, 93, 96, 100

   d. 34, 35, 36, 40, 41, 50, 55, 59, 60, 61, 62, 94, 95, 96

Question 2

Answer to Question 1

a. Mean = 67.28, Median = 53, Mode = 41 (Note that the extreme scores, especially 250 and 300, skew the mean noticeably.)
b. Mean = 82.17, Median = 83.5, Mode= 85
c. Mean = 58.61, Median = 58, Mode= 45, 63
d. Mean = 58.43, Median = 57, Mode= All

Answer to Question 2

Data Set 1 because it has more variability (dispersion) in scores.

When Gabriel Fahrenheit invented the first mercury thermometer, he called "zero degrees" the lowest temperature he was able to attain with a mixture of ice and salt. For the upper point of his scale, he used 96°, which he measured as normal human body temperature (we know it to be 98.6° today because of more accurate thermometers).

The first monoclonal antibodies were made exclusively from mouse cells. Some are now fully human, which means they are likely to be safer and may be more effective than older monoclonal antibodies.

The first successful kidney transplant was performed in 1954 and occurred in Boston. A kidney from an identical twin was transplanted into his dying brother's body and was not rejected because it did not appear foreign to his body.
