Answer to Question 2
Explain the fundamental differences between conflict resolution and conflict management. Give an example of either method of conceptualizing conflict and how it may have a positive outcome in the group.
Conflict resolution is based on the idea that conflict essentially negative, while conflict management is based on the idea that conflict can be positive. Examples may vary.
4. Discuss different forms of feedback and how they are helping to the storming stage of group.
Informal feedback: the leader asks members to give reactions to a group session in an unstructured way. This helps members think spontaneously about what immediate needs the group has.
Formal feedback takes place in a more structured fashion, such as through rounds, when each group member gets equal airtime. Formal feedback may also occur through the use of logs or journals kept by members after a session. This process allows members to think critically about the group.
