  a. divide the number of times an event occurred by the total number of times it could haveoccurred and multiply the results by 100.
 b. divide the total number of times an event could have occurred by the number of times it didoccur.
 c. divide the total number of times an event could have occurred by the number of times it didoccur and multiply the result by 100.
 d. subtract the number of times an event occurred from the total number of times it could haveoccurred.
