Discuss the four main tasks of classroom level curriculum planning:
As you plan classroom level curriculum your tasks are to capitalize on applying and refining student
strengths, supporting and developing skills to compensate for or support student needs in each domain,
provide students with the knowledge, skills, and processes necessary to meet their goals, and help
students to achieve broad school outcomes as well as to apply their skills across many environments.

Answer to Question 2

How can you write lesson plans that allow the greatest amount of access for all students?
Following the logic that directed curriculum planning at the building level and for units of study, you
should write lesson plans that: support a progression of skills or knowledge, reflect objectives, connect
new information to previous knowledge or skills, engage students through multiple forms of learning,
incorporate physical, affective, and cognitive skills and knowledge, and match instruction, content, and
assessment.
