Answer to Question 1

Answer should not necessarily list the four steps to cultural reciprocity, but describe the process of listening to family values and concerns and adapting ones own priorities and concerns for the child based on the families experience and wishes.

Answer to Question 2

Elements of the parent-to-parent model include:

 Advocacy activities.
 Information sharing.
 Mutual support.
Sharing services such as travel, respite care, and home assistance.

These are important because they give parents a chance to see how others handle similar situations, show parents that they are not alone, and (in the case of shared services) give parents a break from their daily responsibilities.
